Who doesn’t recognise the feeling of not knowing things .. When I paint I don’t always decide what to paint in advance and therefore have no bounderies to relate to. I’m inspired by so many things, why just stick to one thing when I can explore the world? I’m impulsive and driven by passion. 
And I don’t paint for you, I paint for Me!  
The part of my paintings that is for sale at the moment you can find on the next page. And If I should try to categorise my themes, the majority can be clustered in Abstracts, Flowers, Landscapes and Maritime.

Nature is fantastic. The colours, the shapes and forms. A scary forest, a pond in the opening, a tree with it's arms streched, the birds and bees.

Water, in all it's kind, is thrilling. The scent of seeweed, a storm closing in, the shallow waters, the horizon....

About me

I'm Peanut, one of my nicknames, and my proper name is Rose-Marie Jernbäcker.

All my life I´ve done handicraft, sewn my own clothes, painted porcelain and glass, painted with acrylics, on fabrics, etched and done every other handicraft you can imagine. I haven´t painted with watercolors very long. The reason for that was simple – I found it too hard.


About 15 years ago I took an evening course to learn about watercolours, my first artistic course ever, and found it inspiring but only when sitting down with others. I sort of couldn´t find the flow. But then, in 2024, I found a one week course in France with the Swedish artist Marianne Chayet – and that was my awakening! Since then I´ve been painting a lot, if not daily but weekly. 


During 2025 I have also painted with Michael Solovyev and Anna von Elern. More people who have inspired me is Louise Fletcher UK with her spirit and liberated attitude to art and also Nicholas Winston, who both paint abstract art.
